For me this isn’t just another pre-loved sales platform, it’s a space to be creative, expressive and a place for developing our own personal styles without having to feel the need to get that fast fashion fix or high street haul to fill the void we have all been programmed to feel.
Up until 3 years ago, I was that person, spending too much on fast fashion, feeling the pull of trends and the chase of buying into the next season’s must-haves. Now my focus has switched to a more conscious, slow way of building a wardrobe that works for me, sourcing vintage and pre-loved
pieces to add to my existing wardrobe and fully leaning into my personal style regardless of what Instagram is telling me I should be buying.
Black has always been my go-to, sometimes head-to-toe, sometimes as an addition to an outfit, but for me it’s timeless and gives me confidence whatever the occasion. Black doesn’t fit into a trend box, but is a constant that can elevate a look. I’m always filtering pieces on sites to see what they have in black and this was where the idea came from.
Shopping should be more conscious and considered, slow and thoughtful and something that has meaning, not just a reaction to a latest trend, something that focusses on buying assets and investment pieces, not consumables. By simply offering a curated mix of pieces in black, we remove the trend aspect to shopping and focus on timeless pieces from hand-picked brands that everyone can tap into, whether it’s a pre-loved black Gucci loafer or a small batch black trench coat from an independent, ethical brand.
Black pieces are not just fashion throw-aways; they are foundational elements of any wardrobe that can adapt to various styles and occasions. Not only do we offer sourced and consignment-based pieces, you will also find black pieces from other preloved resellers, ethical and sustainably-focused brands.
